Meet Dr. Huiting Liu, PhD

I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatments for adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, and related mental health disorders.

My graduate clinical experience included practica at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, the Illinois Neuropsychiatric Institute, and Rush University Medical Center. I completed my clinical internship at the Seattle VA, and my postdoctoral fellowship at University of Washington Medical Center. My research experience included working as a research assistant at the National Center for PTSD at the VA Boston Healthcare System, and researching cognitive and psychophysiological risk factors for anxiety disorders and depression as a PhD student at University of Illinois at Chicago.

I have extensive experience in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), motivational interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), among other evidence-based treatment modalities. Additionally, throughout my internship and fellowship, I received advanced training in neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology, gaining significant experience working with individuals facing cognitive challenges and chronic health concerns.

Before starting my private practice, I worked as a staff psychologist at the Evidence-Based Treatment Centers of Seattle, where I focused on treating anxiety and OCD in adults. I also received intensive OCD treatment training through the International OCD Foundation’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI).

I believe in a collaborative, client-centered approach, where we work together to tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals. I’m particularly passionate about helping individuals manage anxiety and OCD because I’ve seen firsthand how life-changing it can be to develop the tools to regain control over anxiety and live more fully.
